Obviously you are wishing to be there already, but you have to do something first, find something delicious! So you put on your swimsuit under your clothes and go out in search of it, take the elevator and go down to meet the beautiful paradise with a pool in front of you. You might be anxious to do everyting, but it can wait, you have all day to explore.

Something tells you that you are close to delicious cuisine. And you discover a path to your left defined by a wall of palm trees and beautiful tropical plants and decide to go through it. You have a good feeling, and suddenly you are in front of A'akat, one of the resort restaurants.

 

 

At the entrance you see a sign indicating that breakfast ends at 11:30, you look at your watch and it says 11:00 am, you are in luck!

When you enter, the atmosphere is charming, you are still fascinated by the nature and you can still admire it through the windows. The experience there is divine, the tableware is delicate, the service exceptional, the background music is Spanish guitars, and the breakfast is the favorite of indecisive and foodies, a buffet with the best of Mexican food.

 

It's hard for you to decide between Chilaquiles, Tortas de cochinita or Tamales, when suddenly you see the chef adding sweet bread pieces freshly baked to a display case, they win you over, and you inmediately go for some!

After a delicious feast with the best of Mexican dishes, you are ready to go out and find the best place by the pool and relax. Everyone in the restaurant was so nice!

Before leaving, you don't miss the opportunity to ask the waiters for the lunch and dinner menu, and they share the QR code for the menu with you.

You hurry and follow down the palm tree path and finally arrive to the oasis, the beautiful pool. You easily find an available sun lounger and choose the best one, that leaves you with a view of the mangroves.

 

 

The plants, the blue sky and the Caribbean climate merge to bring you a feeling of serenity and peace that's hard to explain. So peaceful that it makes you close your eyes and relax.

After a while, you look up, and discover a spot that awakens your curiosity, a terrace with an infinity pool at the top of the hotel. At that moment, a waiter approaches and introduces himself as Alejandro. He asks you if you would like a drink, and you say yes and request something refreshing, he kindly says that he will bring it right away. Before he leaves you ask him about the spot on the terrace and he explains: “It’s rüf, our rooftop bar. From here you can see its infinity pool. The view from above towards the mangroves is wonderful.” His answer excites you even more. An explorer spirit takes over you and you decide that you will go up later to appreciate the sunset from rüf's pool.

In a moment, Alejandro returns with your drink. He hands you a glass that seems to contain the sunset inside. Your drink has red and orange shades and its decorated with a pineapple leaf and a slice of the fruit. Your drink is called Chuhuk. With each sip, its citrus taste envelops you with the essence of the Caribbean.

The gentle breeze caresses your face and you relax more and more, the ocean breeze reminds you that the beach is a couple steps from the hotel, its scent is a highlight in the pool area.

You are enjoying your drink and at the same time the beautiful view of the tropical garden, spending moments of deep relaxation. In a few minutes, your Chuhuk is finished, and you decide that you'll have your next drink at rüf. Ready to go up, you grab your things, say goodbye to Alejandro, and head to the lobby to take the elevator.

 

 

You get out of the elevator and you're in awe. You are at rüf and realize that Alejandro wasn't exaggerating, the place and the view are breathtaking. Before you, you find the pool, inviting you in, and in front of it, the view to the mangroves that, from this height, becomes something magical, filling you with energy and peace at the same time, it's very beautiful.

Carolina, the waitress, welcomes you, and you ask her for a drink similar to the Chuhuk Alejandro from the bar Senses at the pool, offered you. In a few moments she comes back with a Balam, a cocktail that combines mezcal and apple juice, it matches perfectly with the stunning view. After a sip you leave your belongings on a lounge chair and your drink on the edge of the pool before diving in. You go to the edge of the pool to have the best sight of the tropical paradise and spend a few moments of deep relaxation as the water massages your skin.

You return to the pool edge to grab your drink, and find a couple on the lounge chairs. They mention how beautiful the view is from up there, and you agree. You start chatting with them, and they share that this is day three for them at Ventus Ha’, and they advise you not to miss the opportunity to visit El Cocay Spa. They show you the menu on the website, and you discover the many treatments available for any desire.
